Poggio di Croce, once heavily fortified, stands in a wonderful location, dominating the ancient road between Triponzo and the Valleys Oblita and Castoriana.
At the top of the hill, an ancient ogival gate, with a surmounting belfry used to sight enemies, is what is remaining from the old castle. Opposite, outside the walls, is the parish church dedicated to Saint Egidio.
